New Delhi: Petrol prices have been cut by Rs 3.02 per litre while the price of diesel have been hiked by Rs 1.02 per litre. The change in price will come into effect from midnight tonight.
The change in price will make petrol available in Delhi at the price of Rs 56.61 per litre. Diesel, on the other hand, will be available in Delhi at Rs. 46.43 per litre.
According to a release by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the change in price of the fuel come on the back of the current international prices of petrol and diesel and the INR-USD exchange rate, which warrant a decrease in price of petrol and increase in price of diesel.
It is the impact of these movements which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision, the statement said.
The movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes, IOC added.
