New Delhi: Microsoft has launched the Gestures Beta app for Windows Phone, available only for Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1.
In a demonstration video the company said the app can do functions like:
• Answer a call by picking up your phone and putting it to you ear
• Mute your mic during a call by placing the phone on a flat surface with the display facing down
• Put the call on speaker by placing the phone on a flat surface with the display facing up
• Silence the phone by flipping it display down (if not in active call).
Gesture Beta, which is sized less than 1MB on the Windows Phone Store, will however have limited functionalities on Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 530, says the firm.
This is its first release, so it is likely that more features will make their way as updates roll in.
The Gestures Beta app is a free download from the Windows Phone Store.
