New Delhi: Microsoft has announced the "most affordable Lumia to-date," the Lumia 430 dual-SIM. With the new smartphone costing just $70 (approximately Rs. 4,400) before taxes and subsidies, the company is aiming for a larger pie of budget smartphones in emerging markets. Microsoft Lumia 430 will be available in India, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, in April.
The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim Update. It will also get the distinction of being the cheapest Lumia device that can be upgraded to Windows 10.
Specifications of Microsoft Lumia 430
The handset comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) LCD display offering a pixel density of 235ppi. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage expandable further via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Lumia 430 Dual SIM offers 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage. It sports a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The handset is backed by a 1500mAh replaceable battery, measures 120.5x63.19x10.63mm, and weighs 127.9 grams.
The Lumia 430 Dual SIM features a suite of Microsoft services including Microsoft's Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote), Outlook, Skype, OneDrive, and users can download more apps from the Windows Phone Store.
