New Delhi, Sept 7: Firming up its presence in the budget smartphone segment, domestic handset maker Micromax has launched yet another dual-SIM budget Android smartphone Micromax A25 Smarty. The new handset offers a smart option for those who want to switch over from ordinary feature phone to Android. That too at a affordable price tag of Rs 3,899.
Micromax A25 Smarty runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system and is powered by a 1GHz processor. Such processing power offers good experience to users in terms of speed, performance and flexibility.
The device has a crisp 2.8-inch touch display running at 240 x 320 pixels resolution and has 1.3MP fixed focus camera. The phone comes with 256 MB of RAM with 120 MB built-in storage, which apparently is too low as compared to industry standards. The A25 has a 1,280mAh battery that delivers 4 hours of talktime and up to 7 days of standby time. Other key features, include dual-SIM capability, 2G connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.
The phone comes with pre-loaded apps, including Micromax's own Hook Up app that lets you chat with friends using the internet.
The current launch is third in the series of recent smartphones launch by the company. It earlier launched A57 Ninja 3 and A87 Ninja 4 smartphones in the Indian market. With this addition, probably the company now has a comprehensive range of smartphones suitable for every budget.
