New Delhi: Micromax has launched a refreshed version of its budget smartphone, the Canvas Nitro A311.
It has been officially listed on their website but there is no word on when the phone will go for sale in India. The new model, which has almost the similar specifications as previous model, now has 16 GB of ROM, instead of 8 GB.
Canvas Nitro features a 5-inch IPS screen with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device offers 294 pixels per inch which means good picture quality and color reproduction. The display also uses special oleophobic coating that stops finger print smudges from blocking the screen.
The handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz octacore Mediatek processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB of internal storage space and the micro SD card slot can be used to upgrade it up to 32 GB of space.
The device offers a 13 megapixel rear camera and offers a 5 megapixel front camera with wide angel lens for making group selfies much easier.
The device is fueled by a 2500 mAh battery which promises 10 hours of talk time and 320 hours standby time. It runs Android Kit Kat 4.4 and is available in two different color variants: mystic blue and pristine white.
The A310 model is currently being sold at Rs 12900, which makes us believe that the new A311 version too will retail at a similar value.
