New Delhi, April 8: Meizu, a Chinese smartphone brand that has a fan following in China similar to what Apple has in the USA, is now coming to India. The new launches from Meizu attract similar questions outside its stores as Apple iPhones do in the USA.

Though we do not have the exact date and time of launch in India, The Mobile Indian has confirmed information through Meizu's distribution partner for India that it is indeed coming this year. And like all Chinese Indian brands, value for money pricing (read affordable) will be one of the USPs of its products. Meizu might plan to come to India with its new flagship phone the MX3, which is rumored to look very much like HTC One and will be the first third party phone to get a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa core processor.

The phone is likely to get a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) 5.1 inch display. It is also likely to get 2 GB of RAM, 3G/4G and WiFi connectivity, a 13 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front facing camera and other high end features. Its current flagship phone MX2 comes with a Samsung-made 1.6 GHz, Cortex-A9 quad core SoC dubbed MX5S, along with 2 GB of RAM, a 30 per cent faster GPU, 4.4 inch 347 ppi 1,280 x 800 pixel gapless display, an improved 8 megapixel BSI (backside illumination) F/2.4 camera, and a choice of 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of built-in memory.

There's also a front-facing camera, dual mic noise cancellation, MHL video output (to connect to a TV), S/PDIF audio output, a non-removable 1,800 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and HSPA+">HSPA+ radio at 2,100 MHz (2G at 900/1800 MHz).
In terms of software, the Android phone is powered by Flyme 2.0, which is Meizu's heavily customised Jelly Bean operating system.
