New Delhi, Jan 22: Maruti Suzuki is looking to hire 1,000 shop-floor workers from Gujarat for its manufacturing plant at Manesar, Haryana, according to a report published in Indian Express.
This is believed to be one of the biggest recruitment drives that the company has undertaken in the recent period as well as in the state of Gujarat.
Maruti is also planning to hold out a job fair in Gujarat with state agencies on January 30 for the recruitment of workers.
“Maruti Suzuki has about 1,000 vacant positions in its Manesar plant. These positions include automobile technicians, electricians, painters, turners and fitters, among others,” A M Malwade, deputy director (employment), Directorate of Employment & Training, told The Indian Express.
“We are in the process of issuing call letters to ITI passouts in the state for this job fair,” he added.
According to Maruti, the recruit drive in Gujarat in part of its pan-Indian plan.
