This year's Delhi Auto Expo has been exhilarating and is witnessed to many new car unveiling. The big event also revealed many vehicles which are going to be launched in the Indian market this year only.
So let's take a quick glance at all the upcoming cars showcased at the event which are ready to hit the Indian roads soon.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Coming from Maruti, Ignis is a compact crossover with attractive outer and inner profile. Based on the concept of iM-4, the vehicle was previously unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015.
On the outside, the car sports large wheels, flared wheel arches and robust design, while on the inside, the car features touchscreen infotainment unit and dual tone color pattern with other advanced aspects.
Mechanically, it will work on 1.2 litres DualJet petrol mill and would also get SHVS technology.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
Another killer coming from Maruti is Vitara Brezza. Finally unwrapped at the Auto Expo, the vehicle is placed under S-Cross premium crossover and will compete against the likes in the segment they are Ford EcoSport (https://www.cardekho.com/carmodels/Ford/Ford_Ecosport) and Mahindra TUV300.
Under the bonnet, the car will house in 1.3-litre engine capable of producing a power output of 89 bhp, mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
Chevrolet Spin
Chevrolet, the fully owned carmaker by General Motors has showcased Spin MPV at the event which will be launched in India in a year or two.
On the design front, the car receives dual radiator grille, headlight cluster and high-intensity halogen lamps and with the launch, it will lock horns with Mobilio and Renault Lodgy. Mechanically, it will get 1.5 litres VVT-I mill.
Chevrolet Essentia
Chevrolet Essentia was also revealed at the event. The car is a sub 4-meter sedan designed at GM Korea Design studio. Inside, the car gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as part of advanced feature set.
The vehicle will be pitted against Xcent and Tata Zest in the segment.
Honda BRV
Honda BR-V has already been launched in the Indonesian and Thailand markets, and now it's turn for the Indian car enthusiasts to witness the flamboyancy of the vehicle.
The car has to deal with some of the strong players like Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster in the segment, which is a little tedious task.
But with 7-seating configuration and mechanicals shared from other popular Honda cars, it would certainly play a long inning in India.
The car is powered by 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel mill, while on the other hand it will carry 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine as well.
Jeep Line-up
Fiat owned Jeep has also revealed its much talked about cars Grand Cherokee and Wrangler at the Auto Expo. These mighty SUVs will be launched in mid-2016 and is expected to give a tight noose competition to the rivals in the respective categories.
Nissan GT-R
The much awaited Godzilla is also ready to hit the roads soon if the company makes the mind to sell it. Powered by 3.8 litre V6 engine, the supercar produces 554hp and 632Nm of peak torque, mated to 6-speed dual-clutch transmission system.
The car dashes from 0-100kmph in just 2 seconds attaining the top speed of 315kmph.
Toyota Innova Crysta
Toyota Innova Crysta is the next-gen version of current Innova in India. The car has been altered from head to toe.
The MPV gets an attractive outer profile, the front radiator grille sports heavy chrome finish, wraparound projector headlamps and LED DRLs.
The cabin inside gives the feel of a luxury car, while other features include keyless entry, advanced touchscreen infotainment unit and a whole lot of amenities. Under the bonnet, the 2.8 litre GD mill or 2.0 litre VVT-i powertrain will propel the car.
TATA KITE 5
Tata Motor's new product Kite 5 is the replacement for Indica. After so many spyshots of the test run caught on camera, the car is finally heading towards its launch in India.
Aesthetically, it looks like an extended version of Zica hatchback, while sharing the same engine options as well.
TATA NEXON
Another attractive product from Tata at the event was Nexon compact SUV. The car is inspired from Zest and Bolt and will be entering the hottest segment in India i.e. compact SUV category. The vehicle will lock horns with TUV300 and EcoSport.
TATA HEXA
Tata Hexa is the new SUV model with new projector headlamps, new bumper and honeycomb radiator grille.
The car will work on 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel mill and comes coupled with 6-speed manual gearbox.
