LG has launched its mid-range smartphone, the LG Magna, in India at Rs 16,500. For company has launched only 3G variant for the Indian market.
LG Magna is a dual-SIM handset featuring a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution curved display with a pixel density of 294ppi and a 16 million colour gamut. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset), paired with 1GB of RAM. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It comes with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with CMOS sensor, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and offers 8GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB), and a 2540mAh battery.
The smartphone measures 139.7x69.9x10.2mm and is available in Blue, White and Black colour variants. At the time of its MWC 2015 launch, a gold colour variant was also seen.
It also sports a slightly curved display, which is curved with a 3000mm radius, apart from a gentle curve for easy gripping.
The Magna packs the usual LG software enhancements like Gesture Shot, Touch & Shoot, Glance View, and Knock Code. Users can take selfies in 3 seconds by using gesture shot feature.
Connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, USB, GPRS, EDGE and A-GPS. The sensors such as Proximity and Accelerometer are provided by the company. The phone also comes with features such as glance view, touch and shoot, front camera light for more clarity in the dark, Knock ON, Knock Code, rear key and Quick Circle Case.
The 10.2 mm thick handset measures 139.7mm in length and 69.8 mm in width.
