New Delhi, Oct 11: Lenovo has announced two new tablets-IdeaPad Yoga 11 with Windows RT and IdeaPad Yoga 13 with Windows 8 operating system. Both are essentially hybrid devices so they can function as tablets and as laptops.
The new Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 houses a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor and has flexible hinge that makes it usable in laptop mode. The IdeaPad Yoga 13 has an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge family mobile processor and has full blown Windows 8 running on it.
Lenovo has announced two tablet-notebook hybrid devices out of which one runs Windows RT (Windows on RAM) and other has full-fledged Windows 8 operating system.
The IdeaPad Yoga 11 features 11.6-inch touchscreen display with five-point multi-touch support and supports 1366x768 pixel resolution natively. By default, this tablet houses a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 family mobile processor with 2 GB DDR3 RAM and will have 64 GB flash storage. This laptop will be 15.6 mm thin and has twin USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and stereo speakers. Lenovo promises about 11 hours of battery life. This tablet runs Windows RT operating system.
The IdeaPad Yoga 13 has a 13-inch display with 1600x900 pixel resolution and packs an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge family processor inside. This ultrabook style tablet-laptop hybrid can hold up to 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB SSD storage. Along with the USB 2.0 connector, it also features USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, SD card reader, Bluetooth 4.0, and weighs just about 1.54 kg.
Lenovo plans to sell the IdeaPad Yoga 11 at price starting $799 from December onwards in the USA.
