Lava has launched a new budget smartphone, the Iris 414, at Rs 4,049. There is no official word on the availability of the smartphone.
It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and features a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT display. The device is powered a 1GHz single-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.
Inbuilt storage includes 4GB, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The handset comes with a 3.2-megapixel rear fixed-focus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.
The device gets its juice from a 1400mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 126 hours of standby time on 2G networks. It measures 120x63.4x10.4mm, weighs 110 grams and is listed in Black colour.
