US dollar slumps against rupee

Mumbai: The US dollar slumped against the rupee to 58.79/80 per dollar and the Pound Sterling also dropped sharply to end at Rs 98.79/81 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market today.  Following are the Interbank Forex and RBI rates:
