New Delhi: Top seven blue-chip Sensex companies saw a cumulative addition of Rs 28,234 crore in their market capitalisation (m-cap) last week.
Out of the seven companies, Coal India Ltd and SBI were the top gainers in an overall strong stock market.
ONGC, ITC and Infosys were the losers for the week ended April 11.
With a surge of Rs 6,980 crore at Rs 1,85,101 crore CIL was the biggest gainer among the top 10 firms.
SBI's m-cap soared Rs 6,723 crore to reach Rs 1,48,889 crore, while TCS added Rs 4,730 crore at Rs 4,23,809 crore.
Market worth of HDFC climbed Rs 3,519 crore to Rs 1,43,201 crore, while HDFC Bank's valuation rose by Rs 2,890 crore at Rs 1,77,013 crore.
RIL's m-cap jumped Rs 2,795 crore to reach Rs 3,07,951 crore and the value of ICICI Bank went up by Rs 597 crore, to Rs 1,42,681 crore.
On the other hand, ONGC lost Rs 4,662 crore. Its m-cap was Rs 2,73,904 crore, while Infosys' value plunged by Rs 4,574 crore, to Rs 1,85,814 crore.
Similarly, the m-cap of ITC slipped Rs 994 crore and stood at Rs 2,73,470 crore.
In the ranking of top-10 firms, TCS remained at number one position, followed by RIL, ONGC, ITC, Infosys, CIL, HDFC Bank, SBI, HDFC and ICICI Bank.
Over the last week, the Sensex ended with a gain of 269.46 points at 22,628.96.
