Samsung Galaxy S5 mini launched with fingerprint and heart rate sensor

New Delhi: Samsung has finally launched a smaller version of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 Mini, which will be shipped early next month. The pricing and market availability of the device is yet to

 




Like the S5, which Samsung launched this February, the LTE-enabled S5 Mini is IP67-rated water and dust resistant. The mini version will also have the S5's ultra power saving mode, which limits the screen to black and white and winds down background processes, letting the user eke out an 24 hours additional usage on 10 percent battery life.






The Galaxy S5 mini measures 131.1x64.8x9.1mm and weighs 120 grams. Some of the other sensors on the Galaxy S5 mini include an accelerometer, digital compass, gyro, proximity, and ambient light sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, A-GPS, GLONASS, 3G and IR Remote.

 




The device gets its juice from a 2,100mAh battery.







 It is also believed that the S5 Mini will have the Knox support, which exists in the S4 mini.
