New Delhi: Japanese car maker Nissan Motors has launched the facelift version of its popular sedan Sunny in Indian car market starting at Rs 7.29 lakh ex-Mumbai for the XE petrol variant. The updated model of the mid-sized sedan has two engine options and three trim levels.
The new 2014 Nissan Sunny has been priced between Rs 7.39 to 9.29 lakh for the petrol variants and between Rs 8.33 to 10.02 lakh for the diesel variants (both prices ex-showroom Mumbai)
The automaker showcased the new car at the AUTO EXPO earlier this year. This upgraded sedan competes against the likes of Renault Scala, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, VW Vento and the Ford Fiesta.
The new sedan has a more eye-catchy design than the older model. On the exterior, the Nissan Sunny facelift sports a new trapezoid grille with chrome garnishing, redesigned bumpers, sporty headlights, new fog lamps, a new pair of alloys and a small bootlid spoiler with a stoplight. There's also a shorter radio antenna on the rear of the roof, 12-spoke Y-design alloys and ORVM feature integrated turn indicators adding to the bold styling of the sedan.
