New Delhi: Mahindra has launched a special edition of its Bolero SUV line-up in India. Based on Bolero's top-end ZLX variant, the special edition comes with some cosmetic changes and some added features. The new Special Edition Mahindra Bolero will only see a limited production run of 500 units. The new model costs Rs 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai)
On the outside, the new Bolero offers special pearl white paint and chequered flag decals (just like the Scorpio Limited Edition that was launched in November last year).
On the inside, there is leather upholstery, a faux wooden insert on the dashboard and a new single-DIN audio system, which offers both Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The surprise addition comes in form of ABS for rear wheels, which is even missing on the existing top-end variant of this SUV.
Mechanically, there are no changes in the car as it continues to feature the 2.6-litre m2DiCR diesel engine, which mated to a five-speed manual transmission develops a maximum power output of 62.1bhp at 3,000rpm and 195Nm at 1400-2200rpm.
