New Delhi: Celebrating Independence Day, handset maker Karbonn is offering its Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus smartphones at a special price of Rs 11,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively. Both the smartphones are powered by octa-core processors.
However, Karbonn has not specified the number of units available in the offer, or an exact timeline.
The price cut follows the recent entry of Xiaomi Mi 3 in the Indian market, which offers better-than-expected features at an affordable price. Likewise Motorola Moto G also got cheaper in India by Rs 2,000.

Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, and runs on a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with 1GB of RAM. It offers a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a 2000mAh battery. It features 16GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, and GPS. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus offers a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) IPS display, and runs on the 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, however, with 2GB of RAM. It features a 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a 2000mAh battery like the Titanium Octane and features 16GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Karbonn Titanium Octane is available in three colours – red, white and black while Octane Plus comes in two colour options- black and white.
