India's young billionaire heirs and heiresses

New Delhi: These sons and daughters of India's super-wealthy have a life that billions could only imagine. They have been to some of the best schools, colleges and are lucky enough to afford the best amenities in life. You couldn't possibly have seen them, as most of them stay away from the media glare.Some of these ultra-rich heirs and heiresses may want to carry on their parents' legacies and some may like to turn their sights to other pursuits. But in all likelihood some of these dashing youths will become the bosses of multi-billion-dollar Indian companies. Let's take a look at some of these young ‘arabpatis.'Akash, Isha and Anant AmbaniYou must have seen Akash, Isha and Anant Ambani at IPL games, waving the flag of Mumbai Indians, along with their mother Nita Ambani. Akash, Isha and Anant are heirs to Mukesh Ambani's fortune. Isha Ambani, at the age of 16, was ranked second in the Forbes list of top ten billionaire heiresses in 2008. Isha has been student body council president in school, part of the football team and is a trained pianist. Currently she is a sophomore at Yale and majoring in Psychology and South Asian Studies. Akash Ambani is the oldest of them all and is the twin brother of Isha and the elder brother of Anant Ambani. Numerous reports suggest that Akash has attended the signing of several important Reliance Industries deals.Aditya MittalLakshmi Mittal's son Aditya Mittal is the chief financial officer, (CFO) of the world's largest steel firm Arcelor Mittal. He also has the additional responsibility of Flat Carbon Europe, Investor Relations and Communications, and is a member of the Group Management Board. Prior to the merger to create ArcelorMittal, Aditya was President and CFO of Mittal Steel Company in the period spanning from October 2004 to 2006. He has been instrumental in leading the company's acquisition strategy, thus resulting in Mittal Steel's expansion into Central Europe, Africa and the United States. Besides he is also involved in post-integration, turnaround and improvement strategies of the group. Aditya was awarded ‘European Business Leader of the Future' by CNBC Europe. In 2011, he was also ranked 4th in the ‘40 under 40' list of Fortune magazine. Aditya holds a Bachelor's degree of Science in Economics with concentrations in Strategic Management and Corporate Finance from the Wharton School in Pennsylvania, United States.Vanisha Mittal BhatiaVanisha is the second child and only daughter of steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, and tops the list of billionaire heiresses. Vanisha hogged the limelight by having one of the most expensive weddings in the world. Her father Laxmi Mittal splashed nearly $60 million for a week long wedding in 2004 to London-based investment banker Amit Bhatia in Paris. This magnificent wedding took place at Chateau Vaux le Vicomte, 30 miles outside Paris, and saw at least 1000 guests ranging from pop stars, singers, world's celebrities, business tycoons, and renowned industrialists. Even some Bollywood stars – Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee were present. Vanisha's parents – Mittal and Usha – did everything to make it the most lavish and spectacular weddings ever. Vanisha has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the European Business School and a master's degree in South Asian studies.Jai Anmol and Jai Anshul Ambani They are the sons of Anil Ambani, chairman of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. Both of them have studied at the prestigious Seven Oaks school in London. Anmol and Anshul will take over the ADAG enterprise.Siddharth MallyaSiddharth Mallya is the son of industrialist and self-proclaimed King of Good Times, Vijay Mallya. The Mallyas, both father and son, had brazened criticism for their lavish lifestyle and falling airline. Even as the Kingfisher airline struggled to beat the financial mess, Siddharth nonchalantly tweeted about cricket, parliament and Formula One. He is now all set to make his debut on the small screen as a host and judge of the fourth season of "Hunt for the Kingfisher Calendar Girl".Roshni Nadar Roshni Nadar is the executive director and the CEO of HCL Corporation. She is the only child of HCL's founder, Shiv Nadar. Roshni is a trained classical musician, and enjoys traveling and yoga. This corporate heiress brings a strategic vision, global outlook and dedicated passion to her varied roles at HCL Corporation and the Shiv Nadar Foundation. He is also the chief strategy officer (CSO) in the company and has been slowly gearing up to take charge of India's leading software companies, Wipro. 34-year old Rishad has studied at the Harvard Business School, the London School of Economics and Wesleyan University in the US. He joined Wipro in 2007 as a business manager and worked at the company's banking and financial services division. In 2010, Rishad was elevated as the chief strategy officer. Rishad is married to his college sweetheart Aditi, who is a homemaker. The couple has two children Rhea and Rohaan.Pia SinghPia Singh is the daughter of DLF Realty chairman K P Singh. She holds an undergraduate degree from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, US with a major in finance. She has also done a six-week film making course from New York University. She is currently heading the DLF Entertainment venture, DT Cinema, and retail businesses of the group as chairman, DLF Retail Developers Ltd. Singh is aiming to reinforce and strengthen the presence of DLF Retail across the national level.Ashni Biyani She is the daughter of Future Group founder and CEO Kishore Biyani. Ashni has been involved in the family business for more than four years now. She is a part of the Future Group's Innovation and Incubation division and works with anthropologists, mythologists and sociologists. The young billionaire heiress has studied design management at Parsons and done a business program at Stanford.
