Mumbai: Groundnut oil prices surged at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on heavy demand from stockist and retailers on the back of poor arrivals from producing belts.
Refined palmolein recovered modestly on renewed retail buying support.
Meanwhile, In non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible section, Groundnut oil climbed by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 760 from Monday's closing level of Rs 750 and refined palmolein edged-up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 606 as against Rs 604 yesterday.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all closed unchanged at Rs 3,890 per 100kg, Rs 808 and Rs 780 per 10kg each, respectively.
