New Delhi: Jivi Mobiles claims it has launched India's cheapest Android smartphone, the Jivi JSP 20, at just Rs 1,999. The phone is targeted at feature-phone users looking to shift to smartphones.
It is a 2G smartphone and comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch display with One Glass Solution, offering a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system. It offers dual SIM (G+G) functionality, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The handset offers 128 MB RAM and 256 MB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The phone also has a 2 MP rear camera with flash. The device is fueled by a 1350 mAh battery.
The smartphone is available exclusively at Amazon.in. The delivery of the smartphone will start from September 25 and buyers pre-booking the Jivi JSP 20 before September 24 will get a flip cover for free.
The handset supports up to six languages for messaging such as English, French, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Other features include preloaded WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube applications, LED torch flashlight widget, home screen shortcuts for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, data sync, music player and brightness.
