New Delhi, Aug 1: Aditya Birla group company Idea Cellular registered a 97.6 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its net profit was up to Rs 462.7 crore as against Rs 234.1 crore reported in the same quarter a year ago.
Revenues also rose by 18.8 per cent to Rs 6,538.7 crore (Rs 5,503.6 crore).
