New Delhi: Huawei has officially launched its Ascend P6 smartphone in India at Rs 29,999. The company claims it to be the world's slimmest smartphone measuring 5.22 x 2.58 x 0.24 inch and weighing 120 g.

The Ascend P6 has a super-slim, squared-off body, flat surfaces and metallic rim – making it look like iPhone 5. It even comes with its own pre-packed 'bumper.' The rear of the phone is matte as opposed to the glossy fascia and makes for a relatively non-slip grip.

The fascia itself is devoid of any physical buttons. The only buttons are the Power/Lock and Volume Rocker on the right. The headphone jack sits on the bottom left corner of the bezel and there's a micro-USB plug-in right on top of the smartphone. The phone doesn't have a removable battery; so the SIM slot and the external memory storage slot are a part of the bezel instead.

Ascend P6 features a 4.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Huawei's own K3V2 chipset, clocked at 1.5GHz.

The Ascend P6 sports a 8 megapixel rear camera capable of recording 1080p HD videos and a 5 megapixel camera in the front.

Ascend P6 is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2.2 operating system. It has 2GB RAM and offers 8GB of in-built storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone is available in Black and White colours. The phone has Huawei's Emotion user interface on top.

Huawei's two other smartphones, Ascend G610 and Ascend G700, also recently made it to an online store in the country priced at Rs 12,499 and Rs 16,500 respectively.
