New Delhi, April 22: HTC continues to expand its mid-range Android smartphone portfolio. The new smartphone in Taiwan is called Desire L which is also referred to as mini Butterfly.

The HTC Desire L comes with a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 screen with WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution, 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1GB of RAM, Beats Audio, 1800mAh battery, 4GB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot. The measurement includes 128×66.9×8.9 mm and has a weight of 118 grams.

The phone also arrives running a yet unspecified version of Android and skinned with HTC's Sense user interface. That means that buyers will miss out on the firm's new Blink Feed feature.

There is no Ultrapixel camera technology in Desire L as the company has opted for a 5MP rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and the ability to record HD 720p video.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 and HSDPA and WiFi connectivity.

The HTC Desire L will be available in three colours - white, black and pink - the latter presumably going after the female market. The phone is priced at NT $10,900 in Taiwan which is equivalent of Rs 19,800 in India.
