New Delhi: Honda's best selling car in India, the Amaze, has added a new ‘SX' grade to the product lineup. The Amaze SX sits between the Amaze ‘S' and Amaze ‘VX' for both petrol and diesel. It is now the second to top trim after VX. The variant has been priced at Rs 6,22,640 for petrol version and Rs 7,12,240 for diesel variant.
The new SX trim carries all the features of ‘S' variant along with the addition of twin airbags as also ABS as standard. Diesel Amaze offers ABS on all variants and now the petrol Amaze SX will also offer ABS.
With ‘SX' Honda now has a total of 12 variants with four in petrol and diesel and two in petrol automatic. Prices for the petrol SX start from Rs 6.22 lakh while the diesel SX retails for Rs 7.12 lakh, ex-Delhi.
Under the hood, Honda Amaze SX is powered by a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine capable of delivering 88PS of power and 109Nm of torque . On the other hand, the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine that also powers the new City delivers 100ps of power and 200Nm of torque. Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 25.8kmpl from this diesel engine.
