New Delhi, Jan 22: Hindustan Unilever Limited, India's largest Fast Moving Consumer Goods company, has reported a 16 per cent growth in profit at Rs 871 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2012, as against Rs 725 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
During the period, total income rose 17 per cent to Rs 6,655 crore from Rs 5,672 crore. HUL's domestic business grew at 15 per cent with underlying volume growth of 5 per cent. Both its home and personal care (HPC) and foods & beverages (F&B) segments registered double digit growth during the quarter.
