New Delhi, Jul 1: Thousands of Harley-Davidson lovers met in Rome, Italy, to celebrate the motorcycle company's 110th anniversary. The four-day event includes a major parade through the heart of the city and a blessing

Italy is one of Harley's top five markets in the world. In 2012, Harley-Davidson dealers sold 249,849 new motorcycles worldwide. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Harley Owners Group, known as H.O.G. Today, there are about 1 million H.O.G. members worldwide and more than 100,000 in Europe.

"It's amazing how powerful the Harley culture is — I would say the U.S. Harley rider and the European Harley rider is almost the same," said an avid biker.

The 110th-anniversary party concluded on Labor Day in Milwaukee at the Harley-Davidson Museum and Maier Festival Park.
