New Delhi: Google is all set to launch a high quality medical data to its search engine. Google's step has come in order to provide peace of mind to the worried users about their health. The service will be available in next few days.

Anyone Googling common health conditions will be presented with key information about their query including symptoms, treatments, and "details on how common the condition is , whether it's critical, if it's contagious, what ages it affects, and more."

One in 20 Google searches is health-related and it is expected that Google will have massive audience for this feature too.

"We worked with a team of medical doctors (led by our own Dr. Kapil Parakh, M.D., MPH, Ph.D.) to carefully compile, curate, and review this information," said Google product manager Prem Ramaswam as quoted by theverge.com.

"All of the gathered facts represent real-life clinical knowledge from these doctors and high-quality medical sources across the web, and the information has been checked by medical doctors at Google and the Mayo Clinic for accuracy," he added.

The new tool is available on desktops, iPhones, and Android phones. An average of 11.1 doctors signs off on every fact that appears in each result. It is designed to put your Google queries into context by providing an illustration that won't gross you out (as much as a full Google image search might), plus info on symptoms, prevalence, and treatment options.

Nevertheless, Google has reminded users that the new feature "doesn't mean these search results are intended as medical advice".
