New Delhi: Google India on Monday said it will launch the third edition of its 'Great Online Shopping Festival' from December 10-12, featuring over 450 partners.
The GOSF will see 450 partners offering their best deals for 72 hours this year, Google said in a statement.
"GOSF will also feature exclusive launches from leading brands like Motorola Nexus 6, HP, Lenovo, Tata Housing, Karbonn, Van Heusen, Asian Paints and great deals on exclusive designer collection from Pernia's Pop Up Shop," it added.
Google India has chosen the event to launch its latest Nexus 6 device in the Indian market. Developed by Motorola, the smartphone is priced Rs 43,999 onwards and will be available through eCommerce firm Flipkart.
Focussing on the first time buyers, gosf.in will feature a special section of Rs 299 with heavily discounted products with free shipping and cash on delivery option.
The section will feature products and offers from brands like Philips, Uber, JBL, Benetton, Alia Bhatt collection and EverPure water purifier.
As a run up to to the launch date, gosf.in will host a special contest between November 25 and December 8, offering a chance to win 14 minutes of free shopping (up to Rs 2.5 lakhs in value) hosted by brands like Asian Paints, Jet Airways, Kindle, Micromax, HP, Big Bazaar, KOOVs, Lakme and Lenovo.
"Great Online shopping festival is India's version of cyber Monday and is an exciting platform to move the industry forward," Google India VP and Managing Director Rajan Anandan said.
The consumer confidence to shop online has grown considerably in the last 12 months, boosting the growth of both large multinational and homegrown companies, he added.
Google India has partnered Aditya Birla Money My Universe as a preferred partner for this year's event. The initiative was launched by Google in 2012, and has seen tremendous response with most players seeing over 350 per cent growth in daily sales.
Last year, two million users visited gosf.in and over 16 million users visited across all partner sites.
"Last year, over 30 per cent of buyers shopped online for the first time during GOSF," Google India Industry Director, eCommerce, Local and Classifieds Nitin Bawankule said.
