New Delhi, Nov 14: Being a female in the male-dominated tech industry is challenging, and comes with own set of difficulties. But nonetheless, it is hard to overlook the presence the Indian women have created

Vinita is a well-known Indian American woman technology entrepreneur in California's Silicon Valley and has funded other technology firms. She is the founder and chairman of Digital Link Corporation (now Quick Eagle Networks), a telecommunications products company she founded in 1985 in Palo Alto, California, and ran as CEO, went public in 1994. She now sits on the boards of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, the Indian School of Business and Maitri, a Silicon Valley nonprofit. For two consecutive years, Working Woman Magazine has named Digital Link one of the top 500 women-owned businesses in the United States.
