New Delhi, Oct 25: If you are dreaming of buying a new car for you and your family, then this may be the right time to go for it. Hoping to revive the sluggish sales seen during most part of the year due to higher inflation and interest rates, the automakers in the country are going all out to encourage car buyers this festival season.
Carmakers, including Honda Siel Cars, Tata Motors, Nissan, General Motors, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki, are offering incentives like loans at low rates, straight cash discounts, free insurance, gold coins, loyalty exchange bonus, accessories, and electronic freebies like LEDs, in a bid to boost the market sentiment.
Analysts say though the consumers have the appetite, as well as ability to spend, they have been shying away from the purchase due for better deals and rising fuel prices. They advise consumers to read the fine print and contact the seller if they have any questions about the discount advertised before going for the purchase.
Here's our take at what carmakers are offering to consumers.
HondaHonda is offering car insurance at Re 1 on the purchase of select variants of Brio, City, Civic and Accord and a cash discount worth Rs 10,000 and Rs.15,000. To make the purchase of Brio an attractive option, the carmaker is also offering 32” LED TV by Hitachi worth Rs. 45,000 with Brio SMT(O) & VMT variants.
