New Delhi, Feb 10: An angry father has signed an agreement with her teenage daughter in which the latter has promised to stay away from Facebook for a period of five months. For this, she'll be rewarded with $200.
Paul Baier, VP Sustainability Consulting and Research at Groom Energy Solutions, shared the agreement on his blog Practical Sustainability, wherein his 14-year old daughter has stated clearly that her Facebook account would be suspended from 2. 4. 2013 to 6 .26. 2013 ( 5 months). And in return, Baier would pay her $50 in April and $150 in June. The agreement also says that Baier will have access to her Facebook account to change the password and to deactivate the account – in order to prevent her from reactivating her account in the future.
What's surprising about avoiding Facebook is that it was Rachel's idea, not Paul's. Paul says his daughter wanted to earn some money and stop getting distracted with Facebook.
Looking at how addicted kids have become in the era of social networking, it would be hard to imagine how long she can stay away from the virtual networking world.
