New Delhi: Social media giant Facebook has added a 'shared photo album' feature to its site allowing users who have attended a particular event to throw in their photographs in one single album.

The feature allows users to make shared album and add up to 50 other people who have been to the same event and one person can upload close to 200 photos for a maximum of 10,000 images in a single shared album.

So far, Facebook users could upload their pictures only in their own albums or post images to a friend's wall/comments. In order to share pictures, users could either tag friends/pages or use the special URL appearing below the album/image to share it with non-friends or the public. Shared albums iron out those issues as multiple friends on Facebook can create and add photos to just one album.

Now users can also tag, edit or give captions to the photos they add while the album's creator can decide on the visibility and privacy settings.

However, there is no option to add entire network on a specific shared gathering such as a concert or sporting event.
