New Delhi: Facebook is reportedly planning to launch Facebook at Work, an enterprise-focused website that will compete against the likes of LinkedIn and Microsoft's Yammer.
A report by the Financial Times says the company is secretly working on the software, which will allow users to chat with colleagues, connect with contacts and collaborate on documents.
The new website will have resemblance with Facebook, with a newsfeed and groups. However, users can keep their profile private so as to prevent business contacts seeing potentially embarrassing photos.
It's also set to include document collaboration functionality, which sees the social network also eyeing Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
It is not known when the professional site will launch, but it will reportedly be free - at least initially.
