Delhi Auto Expo 2014: Hero unveils 250cc motorcycle HX250R

New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its 250 cc motorcycle, the HX250R. The quarter-litre motorcycle has been developed indigenously by Hero in conjunction with its partners Eric Buell Racing (EBR), AVL (Austria) and Engines Engineering.The



The bike comes with a 250cc single-cylinder. The liquid-cooled mill pumps out 31PS and has torque rating of 26Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission, a first for any Hero motorcycle. The HX250R weighs just 139kg, which translates into a power-to-weight ratio of 223PS/ton.

The bike features geodesic tubular chassis that integrates the engine as stressed member, resulting in better riding dynamics. The bike sports 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a 5-step adjustable mng monoshock at the rear along with beautiful looking trellis shaped swingarm.
