A new Nielsen report shows that 64 per cent of U.S. mobile phone owners now own a smartphone. And if predictions are true then in the next few years we may see a large chunk of population in both developing and developed world covered by smartphones. In 2019 there will be 9.4 billion mobile subscriptions around the world, and 5.6 billion of them, or 60 percent, will be linked to a smartphone, according to new study by mobile network vendor Ericsson.
