New Delhi: Samsung's recently launched Galaxy Grand 2 is “grander” than its predecessor. The device promises larger screen real estate, premium looks, good camera, more RAM and a bigger battery at an estimated Rs 23,000. It is a dual-SIM device (GSM+GSM) which features a 5.25-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and has an 8MP AF + LED Flash / 1.9MP (HD) camera, 2,600mAh battery, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal Memory expandable up to 64GB using microSD card.
On the other hand, homegrown handset marker Micromax took its Canvas series a step ahead with the launch of Canvas Tubo with full-HD 1080p display. The company has even roped in Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman as the brand ambassador. Looking different from other Canvas phones, the Turbo dons an aluminum frame in a unibody design, which gives it an edge over its rivals. The phone has a 5-inch IPS (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display with a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch. The phone comes is powered by a MediaTek 6589T quad-core Cortex A7 chipset clocking at 1.5GHz and PowerVR SGX544 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM.
