New Delhi: Here is a list of the week's top smartphone launches:Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Samsung's new mid-range phone Galaxy Grand 2 is now available in India at Rs 22,999. The smartphone is now available via Samsung's online store and the South Korean company has started taking pre-orders for the device. The phone is also available on online retailer Infibeam at Rs 22,999 or at Flipkart for Rs 22,500. Samsung's Galaxy Grand 2 is the successor of the company's bestselling mid-range smartphone Galaxy Grand. It sports a bigger screen of 5.25-inch HD (1280x720p) TFT display and flaunts faux-leather embroidery on the rear-side. The phablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor alongside 1.5GB of RAM. It offers an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash for good quality images and videos, and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, for video conferencing. The company is offering 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.Micromax Canvas mAD A94 Homegrown handset maker Micromax has launched the Canvas mAD A94, with a built-in app that pays you for watch ads. The device features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pxiels) display and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 512MB of RAM. The device runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Mad A94 smartphone's tech specs list includes a 5 megapixel camera on the rear end as well as a 5 megapixel on the front side. The device gets its juice from a 1800mAh battery that offers a talk time of 5 hours and standby time of 150 hours. On the memory front, you will have 512 MB of RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB which is expandable by up to 32GB using microSD Card. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. Other than the advertising app MAD, the phone comes with pre-installed apps such as M!live, Opera Mini, Hike, Spuul, Kingsoft Office and BBM (Blackberry Messenger).Micromax Canvas XL Micromax Canvas XL comes with a 6-inch display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels resolution. It is a dual-SIM support (GSM+GSM) smartphone that runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The phablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The Micromax Canvas XL sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. Canvas XL comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The device offers a 2450mAh battery, which the company claims to offer up to 9.5 hours of talktime and up to 209 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G connectivity options.Micromax A71 Micromax A71 is a mid-range device from homegrown handset maker. It features a 5-inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor along with 512MB of RAM. It is a dual-SIM phablet that runs runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The A71 comes with a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The Micromax A71 packs a 2000mAh battery which, as per the online retailer's listing, can deliver up to 5 hours of talktime and up to 200 hours standby time. Connectivity options on the phablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G. iBerry Auxus Nuclea N2 Technology company iBerry launched its fully-loaded Auxus Nuclea N2 smartphone at an introductory offer price of Rs 19,990. Nuclea N2 supports both micro SIM and a regular SIM on its respective dual SIM slot and is powered by a MT6592 1.7GHz octa core chipset running Android 4.2.2 over a 5.7 inch FHD screen. With a thickness of 8.5 mm, the phone has 13MP camera on its rear with BSI sensor and auto-focus, as well as front camera of 8MP resolution. iBerry also claims that Nuclea N2 is the first Indian handset equipped with wireless charging feature. The octa-core processor-based Auxus Nuclea N2 comes with 16GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 64GB using MicroSD card. There are proximity, magnetic, light and accelerometer sensors. The handset supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. OTG is supported.Lava Iris Pro 30 The Lava Iris Pro 30 is a mid-ranger from Lava International priced at Rs 15,999. It features a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720 pixel) IPS OGS display (Sharp LCM500) with a pixel density of 312 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass covering. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, coupled with the SGX544 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The device comes with an 8-megapixel rear BSI sensor camera with dual-LED flash, apart from a 3-megapixel front-facing camera. Built-in storage of 4GB is available, with microSD card expandability up to 32GB. It is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery with CABC (Content Adaptive Backlight Control), that is rated to deliver up to 4.5 hours of talktime, and 400 hours of standby time.
