New Delhi: Oppo has launched its new Oppo Joy smartphone in Indonesia at IDR 1,699,000 (roughly Rs 8,900).
The Oppo Joy is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that comes with a 4-inch display with a WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean coated with the firm's native ColorOS skin. The screen of the device also comes with a 'Gloves Mode' technology where the users can use the touchscreen while wearing gloves.
The device is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor powers the smartphone, clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 512MB of RAM and a Mali 400 GPU for graphics. The Oppo Joy sports a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
It offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options include 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The device is backed by a 1700mAh battery. It comes in Black and White colour variants. Last week, Oppo listed its R1S smartphone on its China store at CNY 2,498, which translates to roughly Rs. 24,500.
