Nokia X vs Micromax Bolt A075: A comparison

New Delhi: Homegrown handset maker Micromax recently launched its latest Android phone, the Bolt A075, at Rs 6,499. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM, and features a 5.2-inch WVGA

Design and Build

Micromax Bolt A075 is a dual-SIM phablet with 5.2 inch display. It is a bar shaped smartphone that measures 151.7x81x10.8 mm and weighs 225 g.

Nokia X is a monoblock smartphone that has same design and build language as the Asha series featuring a clean and minimalist look with amazing build quality. Though the X looks to have a unibody construction, it does have a removable back cover which encloses the sides completely leaving no gaps or cracks in the phone. The Nokia X is available in Black, White, Red, Green and Cyan and has a soft-touch matte finish for each of them. The front of the Nokia X is dominated by the 4.0" IPS LCD screen while the rear features a 3 megapixel camera and a speaker grille. Underneath, we have two SIM slots and a microSD card slot. On X, the physical ‘Back' button has been substituted by a capacitive one.

Display

The A075 has a 5.2-inch TFT LCD display with resolution of 800 x 480.

The Nokia X has a 4-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 800 x 480. The 233 pixels per inch density may not seem too much but it is still a decent specification. The display of the X is good for outdoor viewing but looks dull at high brightness in direct sunlight.
