New Delhi: Leaked images suggest that homegrown handset maker Micromax will soon launch a new smartphone, the Canvas Duet 2, with GSM+CDMA network support. This is the first one in the Canvas series to have such functionality.
The alleged Canvas Duet 2 has been spotted in a purported leaked image of the retail box, though the smartphone itself has not been spotted.
The alleged image of the retail box has been posted by Micromax Canvas blog and it claims that the rumoured Canvas Duet smartphone will support any CDMA network.
The Canvas Duet 2 will come with a 5.27-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels), 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset), 1GB of RAM, 4GB of inbuilt storage, 8-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2300mAh battery. The alleged Canvas Duet is said to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.
The blog suggests that the handset is likely to cost around Rs 17,000.
