New Delhi: Micromax has launched two new smartphones, the Canvas A71 and Canvas XL, in India. Both these devices are now listed online at e-commerce websites. While the budget phone, the A71, costs Rs 6,750, the Canvas XL is priced at Rs 13,990.
The Micromax A71 comes with a 5-inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixels resolution, giving you pixel density of 186 ppi. It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The phablet is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor along with 512MB of RAM. It houses 512MB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.
The A71 comes with a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and also includes a VGA front-facing camera. The chipset supports 720p HD video playback. The phone comes with a 2000mAh battery which, which the company claims to deliver up to 5 hours of talktime and up to 200 hours standby time. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G.
On the other hand, Canvas XL comes with a 6-inch display with a 540x960 pixels resolution. It is a dual-SIM phablet (GSM+GSM) that runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The device measures 165x84.2x10.4mm and weighs 180 grams. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. Canvas XL sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. It comes with with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The Canvas XL comes with a 2450mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 9.5 hours of talktime and up to 209 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/ AGPS and 3G connectivity options.
