New Delhi: LG will unwrap its first UltraHD curved TV at the Consumer Electronics Show in early January. The company claims its new 105-inch, top-of-the-line television display as "officially the largest curved TV ever made."
The UHD TV comes with a 21:9 aspect ratio and boasts a 5,120-by-2,160 screen resolution, resulting in 11 million pixels if you're counting at home. To counter color leakage and improve the viewing experience from different angles, LG had made it backlit by tweaking its Thin Film Transistor (TFT) pixel circuit technology for LCD displays.
LG said the TV delivers uniform color and brightness and can now "render the minutest detail in breathtaking clarity to create an unprecedented level of viewer immersion" with the 105UB9.
"LG Display has kept its dominant position in the display market with innovative and differentiated technologies," Yong-kee Hwang, senior vice president and head of LG Display's TV Business Unit, said in a statement. "With a resolution of 11 million pixels, the 105-inch curved LCD panel is proof of our continued leadership in the next generation display market, offering exceptional world-class value to our customers."
The price and availability of the model has been not divulged by the company, but LG says the TV is worth every penny you spend on it.
