New Delhi: Homegrown handset maker iBall has launched its new phablet, called Andi 5.5N2, in India at Rs. 14,999. Online retailing sites like Flipkart and Snapdeal are however selling the phablet at a much cheaper price.
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280x720 pixel) display, and runs on a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It has a 12-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
It is a dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) device running Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB and 3G HSPA+.
Other features are flip to mute gesture control, and a variety of sensors - gravity, proximity, and light. The phone features a 2500mAh battery.
The company has recently released iBall Andi 4.5-K6, a budget Android smartphone, available at an online retailer at Rs. 7,395. iBall Andi4.5-K6 is a dual-SIM, dual-core 3G-enabled smartphone with support for GSM+GSM, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
