Google reveals an operating system for smartwatches called Android Wear

New Delhi: Google is officially getting into wearables. The company has announced Android Wear, a modified Android OS version designed specifically for wearable devices. The new version is tailored for high-tech watches and other devices

To launch watches powered by Android Wear later this year, Google has partnered with several consumer electronics manufacturers (including Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola, and Samsung), chip makers (Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek, and Qualcomm), as well fashion brand Fossil Group.
