The Karbonn S5 Titanium looks very refined as compared to its predecessor. It offers a better build, improved camera and a bigger screen. The S5 Titanium has 5-inch qHD IPS screen, offering a resolution of 540x960 pixels and pixel density of 221ppi, which results in sharper graphics and text. Although the colors and saturation levels of the display are almost spot on but the viewing angles were not up to the mark. The low qHD resolution does not lend any favour to the handset either with the visible softness in text and images.
The Karbonn S5 Titanium is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8625 quad-core processor. It has 1GB RAM onboard, and Adreno 203 chip for processing graphics. There is 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. With Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the overall experience of navigation through the interface is good. The apps opens without a lag, playing games is easy and scrolling through web pages or switching between apps is a breeze.
The phone comes with an 8-megapixel autofocus shooter that takes good images in daylight as well as low light conditions. The camera app features settings for white balance, exposure, aspect ratio, face-detection, red eye reduction among others. The phone comes with a 2000mAh battery, which will last a full day with medium to heavy usage, including 1-1.5 hours of phone calls, two e-mail accounts with push notifications, screen at maximum brightness, and playing some music and video clips.
The Karbonn S5 Titanium smart phone comes with a Dual SIM capability, where SIM 1 supports 3G while SIM 2 supports 2G.
