Greater Noida: German auto major Volkswagen today unveiled its concept SUV Taigun as it looks to rev up sales in India.
"The Auto Expo is a great opportunity to connect with our customers and to showcase our new products and technologies. India is an important market for Volkswagen and over the next few months and years, we look forward to launching new products, engineered specially for the Indian market," Volkswagen Group Sales India Managing Director (Volkswagen Passenger Cars) Arvind Saxena said.
The Taigun is fitted with a 1 litre turbocharged petrol engine.
Besides, the company is also showcasing its World Rally Championship winning Polo R WRC along with other line up of Polo and Vento variants, Jetta and Passat.
Volkswagen India President and Managing Director Mahesh Kodumudi said India is an important market for the company and the company will cater to the evolving needs of customers here.
