Apple expected to launch iWatch, iPhone 6, larger iPad and HDTV in 2014

New Delhi: A leaked year-end memo from Apple CEO Tim Cook to the company's staff promises 'big plan' for 2014. Without specifying the products Cook said 'we think customers are going to love' the new products.However, the Apple rumor mill offers a few clues on the company's likely offerings. These include the iWatch wearable computer, a 13-inch iPad Pro, an TV set and a redesigned iPhone, Business Insider reports. The memo was considered to be a message by the company's management to congratulate its employees for 2013 success. These include reaching 50billion App Store app downloads, the launch of the new iPhone 5S and 5C and the introduction of American manufacturing for the Mac Pro - which will be made at a plant in Austin, Texas, instead of in China. iWatchApple may launch its own smartwatch in 2014. Already companies like Sony and Samsung rolled out their own smartwatches in 2013. Analysts believe that Apple will be unveiling a product that could grace all kinds of wrists, including the stylish executive and the intense computer engineer.iPhone 6Apple is reportedly redesigning its iPhone yet again for the launch of the 'iPhone 6.' Reports suggest that it will include a 4.7-inch screen - considerably larger than the 4-inch iPhone 5S and 5C.Apple is believed to have spent $578 million to speed up the development of sapphire glass displays destined for the iPhone 6. Sapphire glass, currently used for the iPhone 5s's Touch ID Home button and the cover of the iPhone's rear-facing camera, is more than twice as durable than Corning's Gorilla Glass, and is "virtually scratch free" according to glass makers GT Advanced Technology.Apple recently purchased PrimeSense, a firm specialising in the development of three-dimensional sensors for home appliances and mobile devices. This technology is similar to the gesture-detecting sensors of the Xbox's Kinect controller. This purchase could certainly hint at a move to include gesture control on the next generation of Apple devices.Larger iPadAccording to rumours, Apple's next iPad could sport a screen as large as 12 inches. If it packs an ultra sharp retina display, it might meet the needs of engineers, architects and others.Apple HDTVCupertino-based Apple may come out with HDTV in 2014. Lending more weight to this claim is the fact that Steve Jobs told his biographer Walter Isaacson that he had figured out how to build an "integrated television".
