New Delhi: Samsung has started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 smartphone in India. Users can book the smartphone for as low as Rs 1,500 at the company's official e-store. The phone is likely to cost between Rs 51,000 and Rs 53,000. The device is slated to hit the market on April 11 in India as well as in several major markets.
Samsung also says that those who book the phone in advance will get 15% cash-back if they pay the remaining amount using a Citibank credit card.
The device features a 5.1-inch Full HD screen, the latest Android version, fingerprint sensor, heart-rate monitor, health-centric apps and water- as well as dust-resistant body. Other key features of the smartphone are 16MP rear camera, eight-core Samsung Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 64GB microSD support and 3,000mAh battery with ultra power saving mode.
The smartphone competes with Apple iPhone 5S, Google Nexus 5 and LG G2 in the market.
