New Delhi: German luxury automobile manufacturer BMW Monday launched the petrol-powered high-performance sedan M5 in India, priced at Rs.1.35 crore (ex-showroom)
"An independent production of BMW M GmbH, it remains faithful to the M philosophy, perfectly combining high performance with optimum everyday practicality," said Philipp von Sahr, president, BMW Group India.
According to the luxury automobile manufacturer, the new sedan which is imported as a CBU (Completely Built-Up) unit is available across its dealerships.
The new sedan is powered by the M TwinPower Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine which pushes the vehicle from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 4.3 seconds.
The engine is mated to a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission with cruise control.
The BMW M5 also sports a state-of-the-art safety features which provides maximum support in any situation with air bags, active M differential, dynamic stability control (DSC) including M dynamic mode, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist, active protection with attentiveness assistant and active headrests (front).
