New Delhi: Bell Helicopter and Textron Systems have signed a multi-million dollar global deal with India's Dynamatic Technologies for supply of major airframe assemblies for Bell 407 GX helicopters.

The agreement is for a seven year period with options to extend through the life of the product.

"The agreement with Dynamatic represents a significant milestone in Bell Helicopter's global sourcing strategy and brings efficiencies to our manufacturing process for the Bell 407," Mike Loeffler, Bell Helicopter Vice President, Supply Chain said.

India represents a significant growth opportunity for sales, operations, and the integrated supply chain, he said.

"We are pleased to continue our investment in India to build upon our existing capabilities in the region," he said.

Textron Systems will work with Dynamatic and Bell Helicopter to support in-country procurement operations.

The agreement, which establishes Dynamatic as a single source supplier of major airframe assemblies, follows a MoU signed in 2012 to mutually explore business opportunities for the production of Bell's 407 airframe assemblies.

"Both companies remain engaged in identifying additional business opportunities to further build on Dynamatic's Premier supplier capabilities as Bell Helicopter looks to invest and expand operations in the region," an official statement here said.

Textron Systems is currently procuring a range of commodities in India via several prime sourcing partnerships, and continues to seek new opportunities to expand its supply base in country, the statement said.
